Covering an area of 1,715mu, Guiyang Olympic Sports Centre has a total building area of 257,000 square meters, an estimated total investment of 1.9 billion RMB and construction period from 2006 to 2010. Upon the completion, it will be a large comprehensive sports centre integrated by various functions like sports competition, training & drilling, entertainment, commerce, tour and public physical training. Within the centre, there are two stadiums with 51,636 seats and 8,000 seats respectively, a swimming and dibing gym with 3,000 seats, a tennis centre with 17 courses and relevant facilities such as press centre, training centre, and management centre. Thus it will become the largest comprehensive sports centre with the most functions in Guizhou province.
